Mamas on Bedrest: Create A Gratitude Tree With Your Kids For Thanksgiving

November 23rd, 2011

Mamas on Bedrest, your kids are off from school, you’re sidelined and everyone is trying to figure out just what to do to make this a festive Thanksgiving. Why not create a Gratitude Tree? It’s easy to do and something that you can do while in bed with your kids. See how I did this with my kids here.

My 3.5 yr old son was fascinated by this and wants to make one. He told me “It’s very fun to do that!” Great suggestion. I know from personal experience it can be hard to feel grateful while on bedrest, this is a simple idea that is sure to make you feel better.

    Stephanie,
I hope that you and your son have a wonderful time making your gratitude tree. At first my kids were skeptical, but as you can see from the video, once they got into it, we had a great time. It also forced them to really think about all the blessings that they have. Yes, a mama on bed rest may not be feeling very grateful. Hopefully once she embarks upon this project with her kiddos, she’ll see how much she really does have to be thankful for. Thanks for your comment and do send a picture of your gratitude tree!!
