  1. Gestational diabetes is one more type of the diabetes and Obesity doubles risk of gestational diabetes. So the regular checkup and balance diet can make big difference.

    This is so true! It is often hard to moderate eating during pregnancy, but in the case of gestational diabetes, it’s essential. Thanks for raising this very important point. I still think that any mama diagnosed with GDM should receive diabetes education as well as a nutritionist consult. Unfortunately this is not standard of care.
